The Compound Effect

How to achieve incredible changes just by piling up small insignificant actions day after day.

Reading time: 2 minutes

The Compound Effect has its origin in finance. "OH NO" said your mind just now. But don't worry, there won't be any difficult formula, just a simple equation:

Small choices + consistency + time = significant results

Let's try to explain it one piece at the time. This effect says that if you make a very small choice in your life every single day, you will be very unlikely to see short term results, however, if you have the determination and consistency to do it every single day, over time you will be able to see incredible results.

Imagine cutting 100 calories from your daily intake.

In a week you will probably look exactly the same, in a month probably too.

But if you keep going, in a couple of years you might have lost 5/7 kg!

Isn't it mindblowing?

Even the smallest effort can deliver great results if consistent over time

This can be applied to every field of your life, from writing a book, to build your new home, learn a new skill or develop a new business.

All it takes is a tiny 1% effort.

So gather all your excuses, put them in a bag and throw them in the trash.

After that, figure out what is the smallest action you can do every day to achieve the change you have been dreaming for your life and just repeat that single tiny commitment every day.
